Caverns, and Lost River caves. If you ever want to see some cool caves these are some excellent choices.
This are some of the stalagtite and stalagmite formations that were in the caves. These take hundreds of years to form.

Inside the caves there are tunnels that will lead to other parts of the cave or openings somwhere above ground.
These are so amazing to see. The other great thing about the caves is that they are very cool on a hot humid day. Aren't these amazing formations?
In Diamond Caverns, there is a place where people use to get married. They had to ban the weddings though because there were people getting hurt becuase the caves get slippery as water from frequent rain storms make the rock wet. The space here is also quit narrow so you wouldn't be able to invite to many guests.
This is what a stalagmite looks like when you cut it open. Pretty amazgin isn't it.
This is the opening to Lost River Cave. This particular cave is in Bowling Green. For years it was used as a place for dances and was also popular with the boot leggers. At one point people used it to get rid of their garbage. Some citizens in Bowling Green decided to clean the place up and make some walking trails and let people tour the cave. 
This is a dark picture but this is the pavilion at the mouth of the cave that they use still today for weddings and partys. It is a nice cool place for a summer time wedding.
This is the opening that you go in to go down to get into the boat. When it rains to much they have to close this cave down because the place that opens up into the back of the cave is very narrow. While you are in the boat you have to duck down for about the first five minutes so you don't hit your head on the celing. Then it opens up really wide again. The other pictures we took were to dark but this was one of our favorite tours.
At Kentucky Down Under they also have kangaroos and an aviary. They also have some Emu's and Camel's. The Camel's were especially stinky as you can tell from Kendra's expression.
This is a male red kangaroo. He likes to lay around in the warm Kentucky sun and let you pet him. There fur is very soft.
Carter was not afraid of any of the kangaroos and wanted to touch them and sit on them. 
Kendall was holding this parakeet and Carter stuck his finger out and the parakeet nipped his finger. He didn't cry but looked at his mom as if to say, "Hey that bird bit me." 
These are some other birds that we were able to feed. You have to hold really still so they will come and land on your arm.
